[CLGG] HOG-ST v3 (Breech Load)

IDEA

HOME

DESIGN: Currently only concept, version 3 of the combustion light-gas gun or HOG-ST (Hydrogen Oxygen Gas - Survival Tool) made of iron, steel and alunimum will be breech loaded. It will consist of a gauged pressurized ~8.0 cubic inch combustion chamber with a 16" x .1/4" inch barrel.  Oxyhydrogen fuel is generated from an atached 316 stainless steel 8 plate electrolyzer containing water and KOH (Potassium Hydroxide).  The cell is powered by a 9.6 volt lithium battery.  From there, the fuel is fed through the side by side bubbler\scrubber, then metered and charged into the compression chamber.  After the desired charge is complete, it is next passed through an automatic check valve, into an ignition tube and then delivered to the combustion chamber.  This combustion chamber will require a seperator membrane prior to the load to retain the compressed gas.  The check valve is  opened and closed automatically.  Ignition is acheived by way of an electronic hv spark generator which creates a spark in the ignition tube.  With a fully charged combustion chamber this design is capable of serious bodly harm or death. 25% of the parts for this project will be purchased from local hardware stores with the rest being fabricated at the bench.  Should work very well in a survival situation on medium and large prey at considerable range (*Barrel will be rifled).
