OXYHYDROGEN DRY CELL

HOME

DESIGN:  Constructed of plexiglass and four 5 x 5 inch 316 stainless steel plates and assembled with rubber gaskets and 12 bolts, this is the smallest of my bench-top electrolyzers.  I use this cell for experiments and test firing different types and designs of combustion chambers.  With this, I also use a seperate water reservoir and a seperate bubbler\scrubber with a homemade flashport.  Prior to the gas output, I also use a homemade flashback arrestor.

I have another larger cell with plates measuring 9 x 9 inches for larger experiments.  I'm also in the process of building a seperator cell similar to THIS ONE.  Also, if you are interested in the reverse side, turning hydrogen and oxygen back into electrical power, you can check out this interesting article on the FUELCELL from the 1960's.

 More to come!

 OUTPUT TESTS:  2.5 lpm
